    Hi All,
I'm looking for suggestions on how to troubleshoot the warning light for RH ventilation fan. $44 in owners manual. 89 328.
    Thanks for your wisdom -

Are you saying that the RH heater blower runs OK, but just the warning light doesn't illuminate as it should when the RH heater blower is running?

Hi Steve, I'm not quite sure at this moment. I'll check out the heater vent to ensure air is moving. The yellow light is illuminated, but I was not able to feel air while in the driver's seat. My arm was not able to reach that far so I don't have the best answer for you. The car is blocked in the garage while the house is being painted. I'll test it next week. I appreciate your input.

That has always struck me as such a bizarre light. I've thought about rewiring it to show when the radiator fans are on; something slightly more useful.

My 1988/328 the lights only come on when I turn the fans on from day one when the car was new

That is the same as my car and presumably all of them. I always just think its weird that Ferrari put a light on the dash to indicate that the heater fans were turned on.

I find that light a little useless considering I can look at the position of the switch to determine whether the fans are on (or feel for the darned breeze) and wonder what might make better use of a prominent indicator light in the instrument binnacle.

Amusing memory: bought my car from a broker, who was great in the transaction but knew very little about the car itself. One the test drive, I basically tested all the switches to make sure things worked... but neglected to turn the heater fan all the way off. Didn't even notice the amber light was on.

After the paperwork was done, got back in the car to return to Florida and saw that light come on when I started the car. Seemed odd - potential issue? I asked the broker, and he had no idea why the light was on or what it meant. I sort of shrugged, decided "oh well, guess I'll figure it out someday" and started the drive home. Eventually started playing with all the buttons again while sitting at stoplights, and finally made the connection between the switch and the light. ;)

I've considered changing it so that it comes on when the driving/fog lights are on.... I leave those on after I've parked far more often than I'd like to admit... then there's also that yellow indicator light, which does noting whatsoever.

Once the painters are done painting the outside of the house I will be able to pull out the car and see if the fan is blowing. You guys have great input. Thanks.

You remind me that its time for another cover-to-cover read of the Owner's Manual. Ferrari did a really good job of that book and it is a wealth of information.

You're correct. Are you aware of any newer or updated pictorial of dash lights? The same goes with a blow-up view of the fuses. It would be nice to have a ready reference.

Very true. Such a pity that so many former owners kept the book, tools, etc for themselves instead of keeping them with the car.

    Hi Steve,
I was able to dig the car out after the house painters left and fire it up. You are correct, it was on but just to the very minimum. I thought it was turned all the way off. One of those days.
