I am trying to verify whether or not the LH and RH crank sensors are different for the 550. The plastic on the connectors are both cracked on mine in identical fashion, (my cam sensor did the same but ultimately failed), so I'm relatively confident that they are original.
    Ferrari calls them:
    164082 "RH angolar speed sensor"
    164083 "LH angolar speed sensor"

Looking at the ones on the car, both have the exact same Bosch part number: 0261210152.

Has anyone been able to confirm this?

They are the same. The part number difference is simply because one has a blue mark on its sleeve (or an entirely blue sleeve, I can't remember at the moment) to distinguish it from the other - makes it easier to tell LH from RH, I guess.

As posted elsewhere on the forum, the 360/430 driver side wiper arm fixes the issue of it hitting the hood on at least the 456. Its a straight bolt on piece. The 430 has spray jets in the hood, so there is some routing of the washer line along the wiper that needs to be routed, the factory clips work

    Part number 65409200

Still makes me wonder the over engineering of this part

The 430 wiper is the closer one in the picture with both arms.

Replaced my wipers today... for us 456 owners the washer jet is integrated into the wipers. Found these Bosch 609 (about 24") wipers are proper size for the windshield and they come with the integrated sprayer that the original hose can attach into

For the Passenger side, aside from the fact the arm is inverted, I also found the OEM wiper is mounted not quite equidistant to each side, so despite being a 24" blade it will hit the side when mounted with these... so instead i simply changed the wiper. A 24"/600mm insert will fit, just assure its 8mm wide to fit snugly into the arms

The BMW part number 37-21-1-132-043 accumulator for the rear suspension of the 456 and M seem to be discontinued and the remaining stocks in the US as far as I can tell are gone. Also the Febi/Bilstein and Meyle third-party replacements. Corteco part number 80001410 functionally seems to work, but the brackets are wrong. There is no bracket for the tip, and there is a 90-degree bend in the main bracket that doesn't need to be there.

The 90s Mercedes-Benz w140 S-Class also used a similar setup with accumulators. Part num er 1403280515. They are still plenty available and reasonably priced. They may be worth someone to check an order and see if the fitment can be adapted. From FCPEURO.COM and installed on my old car

First off this post is awesome. I've been on the hunt for a 3.8 bar 55psi fuel pressure regulator for 01 456mgt.
I looked at the corvette reference on the first posted photo but it comes up as an anti theft part.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you need a gas cap tether for your Maranello, go to Pelican Parts and order part #955-044-200-05-OEM for $8.75…it’s an exact replacement. Ferrari tethers cost up to $50 on ebay.

If your Maranello needs front hood struts go to www.liftsupportsdepot.com and order struts # PM3874. Cost is a very reasonable $24.95 each and they are a direct, snap-in replacement.

Erik- Did not pass it because the handbrake did not work well enough or did not pass it because the pads were worn? Never heard of an inspector checking parking brake pads.

Erik- In that case, adjust the star wheel first on the parking brake and then adjust the cable.

Hi Terry. Everything on the car must work satisfactory. No major leaks and good tires. They even inspect the chassis number and seat belts. Testing the brakes, light adjustment, exhaust, lights you name it.

I now need to replace a wheel bearing front right side and fix the parking brake. I believe a friend of mine forgot to take off the parking brake when he was helping me pocjuing the car in ahotel garage. He have never driven a Ferrari before and I should never have let him drive the car while I was not with him in the car..... I doubt it will help to adjust it. I have three years ago re-adjusted the cable and it became better, but now I believe it is time to change it all.

Does anyone know why the usual parts catalogues list 2 different part numbers for the upstream lambda sensors on the 550?
RH FRONT LAMBDA FEELER : 162462
LH FRONT LAMBDA FEELER : 169953

Interestingly both of these part numbers point to the same Bosch part number : 0 258 003 819

    Hello,

I just replaced my wiper pump (OE 61535400 on Eurospares) on my 97' Ferrari 456 GT, by an Amazon product : OTUAYAUTO 066011A Windshield Washer Pump - Replacement for 1986-2019 Peterbilt 330, 335, 370 series- Washer Fluid Pump (link here : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083HYKN5W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details).

It fits perfectly, works perfectly, and is much less expensive than the original one (more than $400 here in France ...) and only $13 for the one above.

I hope it can be interesting for someone who need to replace his pump.

If anyone need to replace the rubber boots on any of the various connectors around the car, I can say this ebay vendor offers a suitable alternative replacement. Not sure about longevity, and not crazy over China parts, but it does the job. And it is quite close to stock looking.

I owned a 456 until about two years ago and during my 5-year ownership I created a spreadsheet to keep track of the knowledge in this forum. The file I am attaching is up-to-date as to about the middle of 2020 and anyone is quite welcome to use it as a starting point if they so choose.
