George- Several 456 owners have made that swap with no problems. They are only accumulators to store power steering fluid for pumping into the bottom of the rear shock absorber to increase or reduce volume when the auto leveling function of the shock is working. The regulator valve is not on the accumulator, so the swap is not a problem. There is a good description of the auto-leveling function in the 456 workshop manual starting on page F41. The WSM can be downloaded for free at ferraridatabase.com.

I ve put these accumulators one mine .(about 200 euros both)
Only the mounting hole is larger ,put a large washer and it s ok.
You will prevent from rear shock leakage because the accumulator will absorb a part of excessive oil pressure when working.
,You ll feel a better shock absorption at the wheel.
Easy diy ,no bleeding ,only jack the rear .

Just to confirm Ron's findings, here's a couple of pics of one of my IACV's:

Same part is apparently used on 348's, 512TR's, 512M's and Mondials also.

The 0332014140, (aka the "4140" relay) apparently was superceded by the 0332014113 relay (aka "4113"), which was then apparently superceded by the 0332019151 relay.

All are SPST relays, which normally are 4 pin relays, but these had 5 pins, because they were equipped with dual "87" output contacts. So they could drive 2 x 15a or 2 x 20a loads from a common source.

Now that Tyco have taken over the Bosch business, their P/N for it is: V23234-C1001-X006

So, Ferrari P/N: 175318, which was Bosch 0 332 014 140, and all its succeeding P/N's, is now Tyco V23234-C1001-X006

Available at Waytek, Electrical Depot, etc.

The wiring diagrams may seem reversed but dont forget the right sensor drives the left bank and vice versa since the air intakes cross over right to left. Also there are 2 sensors on the right side, one is a TPS and the other is an acceleration sensor (US only).

Ricambi cannot ship a pulse speedometer sensor for my 456GT, as they are on indefinite backorder; I suspect none will be made available.

It is number 20 in Ricambi schematic.

Any idea if it can be sourced from another mfr.?

I have glitches with both the speedometer and suspension idiot light, which would seem to point to this as the problem.

The Electromagnet clutch coil used on the 550 Maranello can be replaced with one from a Cadillac Catera from 1997 to 2001. You will need to rework the power and ground wires and add the Diode from the existing power wire. Cost about $125.00. Oil leaking down from the Rh cam cover gasket or the cam pulley O'ring seals will get into the electromagnet coil and damage the insulation without creating a direct short so the a/c clutch will stay engaged and work until the coil gets hot and blows the 20 Amp fuse at the passenger floor. Be sure the A/C shop you are buying the new coil from confirms that the new one matches your old one except for the wiring and you reuse your power wire with the Diode plus you add a ground wire. Saves about $4000.00 from buying a new one from Ferrari.

550 Mass Air Flow sensors : Sorry - Saab alternative no good, tried the Saab/Bosch parts suppliers, this part is discontinued so unless you get lucky and find an old one on the shelf, you will need pay big bucks. Any other suggestions?
Amazon lists the Bosch 0280217521 but says shipping 1-2months, wierd!

Here are all the relays for the 550 Maranello main relay panel, by location, type, Ferrari P/N, Bosch P/N, and Tyco P/N and the quantities required.

"Type" is simply the reference used in the Ferrari parts diagram.

All can be sourced from Onlinecomponents.com | Distributor of Electronic Components by using the Tyco P/N's. (N.B. Online Components isn't necessarily a preferred vendor, but they carry all 3 types, whereas other suppliers may carry only 1 or 2 of the types)

Links to vendor's parts pages for each type:
