    Is this correct? The 456 is THAT close to an F40 around Fiorano? My slightly modified 500-plus HP 456 would maybe shave a second or two off of the posted stock 456 time. Incredible.....if accurate. Maybe Schumi was at the wheel of the 456!

    Ferrari 456GT: 1.35
    Ferrari F512M: 1.35
    Ferrari F355: 1.34
    Ferrari 550M: 1.32.5
    Ferrari 575M (f1): 1.31.5
    Ferrari F40: 1.31.5 (Gerhard Berger!)

    There are several laptimes for the F40 around Fiorano, I believe the lowest of those ( 1:29 ) to be the most acurate, especially in comparison to the 456 because the track was changed in the mid 90s ? Hence a lower time for all cars since then. The 1:29 then, is the time the F40 will deliver now.

    A faster loop around the outside of the first corner was added to Fiorano in 1996. Most lap times are still on the standard (or more-or-less original - the sweeper before the last corner was tightened at some point) version of the track. You will sometimes see lap times quoted as on the 'short track'. That means using the first corner loop rather than the hairpin.

    howcome they ran the 959?
    u think they put a lambo on the track ?
