Anyone had an electrical problem with their drivers seat.

Done all the obvious things hanged main 30A fuse and seat fuse - downrated these to 15A to try and isolate which seat - but still having problems.

    Cheers Kevan

    Kevan,
what exactly is the problem. Is/are the seat (or seats?) not working ie in which direction? Is there a fuse blowing or more than one fuse blowing.
The 456 has potentiometers to regulate the seat position (and to signal the ecu for the position memory settings) as well as the drive motors for tilt, direction and lumbar support. If you can clarify I might be able to talk you through it.

Originally the main 30A fuse(seats/horn/pop-up headlights) kept blowing.

After changing the fuses in both seats from 30A to 15A, fuses no longer blow, but the drivers seat will not move in any direction - passenger seat is fine.

Was not aware there was a memory position !

    Kevan,
bit confused as there is obviously a difference in the cars electrics since mine, as my car only has the one fuse covering both. I had my seat stop once, which also took out the fuse. It was caused by a 5p coin dropping down into the runner and jamming against the drive. Its a right tw*t of a job taking the seat out as its so bloody heavy. As there is a difference in the specs I can't really help as I don't know whats in your car :( and if I tell you to look at something that may not be there its only going to make matters worse. Just a suggestion but you could try sending Dale a pm. The seat regulators are notoriously crap and don't take kindly to being disturbed, and, surprise surprise, being a Ferrari are not bloody cheap either (incidentally they are not the problem but you may disturb them if you try lifting the seat out incorrectly). Have you checked for good contact on the wiring harness under the seat?
About as much use as t*ts on a nun I'm afraid:(

    Thanks anyway Andrew.

Guess yours is a 456 M GT, the new improved model, with the windows that fit and the radiator in one piece so it doesn't split! :D
