It looks like my speed sensor is kaput...my speedo stopped working and the suspension light comes on too...the Ferrari dealer in Los Angeles had diagnosed it was not signaling properly. Question for the experts here...is Ricambi the best source for such a part or anyone have a better source to share??

I don't believe there are any substitutes for the OEM. It can be repaired, but it's quite fiddly.

Your sensor is a Type II (with a different plug)

Someone was working on a replacement circuit board, but I'm not sure if it was for the type II.

Qavion...once again... you are a wealth of information. I am going to go ahead and replace the sensor as the Ferrari Dealer indicated it was not operating consistently.... and I think it is the original... so $250 well spent..... but I am saving that webpage as it is definitely very valuable! Have a great week!

Just to tie up this thread.... installed speed sensor... getting to it you need to "drop" the passenger side rear exhaust assembly at the center section. Then you can easily get a open end wrench on the sensor.... total time took about an hour. The sensor is high on front passenger side of gearbox.

    Works like a charm now!
