I picked up the new Schlegelmilch, Lehbrink, and Osterroth book. The section on the 456 has a fly yellow car. I have always liked the 456 in darker colors, but the photos are intriguing. Was this even a standard color or did the owner request it? Does anyone own a yellow 456? If so, what do you think of it? Color is not that important to me, but you have to pick a color sooner or later. Also from UK Fchat thread, but color doesn't look quite like Fly yellow, but a nice colour, also. (since it's British, I defer to the 'correct' spelling) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111396&page=3
I think the 456 looks great in light or bright colors. The lines of the body are more visible in a light or bright color as apposed to the darker colors. Ferrari of Washington had a yellow 456M for sale early last year. It looked great in pictures. I am currently looking for a red 456 because I like the traditional red on a Ferrari.
For a Ferrari, years and years. It also looked fantastic in person. I was really surprised that I liked it so much on that model. Personally, I think yellow is the only color for Ferraris but was really stunned as to how good it looked on the 456...I had never seen one in yellow.
