My 456 has been running rough and rich and struggled toget through UK emissions test for MOT. My mechanic has spotted that the first injector on the left hand bank is leaking. He thinks it is just the O-ring (gasket) that needs replacing so we will get the rail (tube) off and while we are in there will replace all 6 gaskets. These only cost a couple of pounds each but would be interested to know if there is an equivalent Fiat part. There are also injector plastic retaining clips. Do these break during this work or could they be part of the issue ? Thanks
I would have all the injectors cleaned and resealed with Viton seals while you are at it. Should be several shops in the UK that do this.
Thanks for the reply. Guess what? All injectors were removed and cleaned in a schedule of work that was carried out.....
