I am in need of a 456 M spark plug wire with the coil and plug connector of any length. Removing the boot tore the boot and severed the connection between plug boot and the wire. I appreciate any hel provided.
If David is out of spares, you might also check with Kingsborne. They don't list the 456, but can certainly make you a set or a single, as they carry all the individual parts.
Thanks Hugh, Replacing the plugs, one boot was very difficult to remove, and separated from the connector. I had noted the 456 was not listed. I will contact them. Dennis
There are also boot removal tools which will not completely eliminate the problem, but make it much easier to pull them without damage. One example below and Hill Engineering makes one, too: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Terry, Ironically, I was using a tool similar to this, removing the boots for replacing the plugs. I had replaced 11 of the plugs and the last one, as luck has it, was really stuck. It was cylinder #3, and on the 456 is pretty encumbered by the surrounding infrastructure. I contacted David at Ferrari Service Of Bedford, and he said he believed he could help. Keeping my fingers crossed. As always, thank you for the help. We Double Ugly jet jocks have to stick together. Dennis
A big thank you to Terry Phillips (Tazandjan), and David Steinberg (Ferrari Service of Bedford), in my search for a #3 Spark plug lead for my 456M. Aside from buying the entire bank harness ($$$), the individual leads are no where to be found. Terry suggested David, and David had the components to make up the spark plug lead, that I needed. Gents thank you for the help. Dennis
