Im surprised we havent seen more of them cut up and used for rebodied retro Ferraris. GTO engineering and such coachbuilders, i figure would be all over cheap 456 frames for their hot-rod builds. Seems like a better source than trying to find beater 550/575 chasis

It’s a good car for a lot of things, and honestly if the salvage process isn’t as big of a nightmare as it is around me I might have considered it. Way too nice to be a write off.

why is this car soooo cheap? surely there's a story... or a loooot of work to do.
Seems a bit odd though. I'm sure he doesn't want to put in BaT or CaB due to the inevitable inquisition!
    Sad to see this

It's another salvage. For a rebuilt title it's a fair price if it's tuned up. For a salvage it's high side of market.

The car was clearly well cared for, for much of its life based on the switchgear, dash leather etc. It’s not your typical roach, however I’d have to assume there’s a lot of standard maintenance to be done like major engine service, windows, rear shocks etc. Still could be made to be an excellent driver, if you don’t mind the title issue.

Its a great deal for both parties. It likely would have likely been higher had it been located in the US, but for a car with an accident history and mileage it should be a good transaction. The odometer discrepancies are noise, improper reporting between MPH and KPH

not a bad deal. pretty rough interior and with an accident I think the price was OK.
pretty car...maybe she'll get a new lease on life!

    Fairly priced.

@Everettpa1 did you mention this was coming down the pike? I don’t think I heard.

Agreed, fair price given the circumstances.

    It amuses me that a 2002 456M GT > 2005 575M F1
I wonder if the GT will eventually climb past the 575 as the V12 shifter car market gets gobbled up.

I'm just glad I'm on the inside looking out, instead of still wondering if its the right time and the right car. Happy with the price I paid. Money put into it has been needed and well spent. The enjoyment dividends have been well returned. This was always the Ferrari for me.

Ferrari 4 seaters don't have a great history as investment vehicles. Buy it to enjoy (whatever that means to you), and perhaps it works out well this time.

I do think the Gated manual factor will continue to make these good buys

I did not mention the listing beforehand. I wasn’t sure when it was going live. Thanks!

Not “we”, “me”. Beautiful car. Timing couldn’t be worse as I’m playing Westchester Country Club tomorrow (strict no phones policy) and staring at a $40,000 credit card bill this month regardless. Do you accept rewards points

Same seller as the first ebay listing. It’s not the same VIN as the car that was at gullwing.

I spoke to the seller about the car. He has a very strange demeanor, and it just feels shady, so that would be my guess. It could be a nice car, but many people won’t get past their spidy senses, which are usually right.

Thats his second price increase too. He listed it on craigslist at $55k for a short time before posting on ebay at $60k. New ebay listing at $62.5k? Weird

When people talk about “all the money” that’s the one they mean. Everett I think you got a VERY nice number and going by where you called the reserve I’m guessing you thought so too.

I’ve had the afterburners lit since I opened my eyes and am just catching up on Everett’s 456 result. Wow and well done.

Market has spoken with Everett's and many recent results. Potential buyers are realizing just how undervalued the 456/456Ms (manual and auto) are. I think 456/456M's value will continue to appreciate (albeit modestly) going forward. Anyone looking (realistically and not just tire kicking) should grab one asap. Good examples are far few in between.

I'm gonna say this one will sell at around $115K.
