OBD2 code showing: P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input.
My car is idling roughly, up and down , so I replace the air filters with 2 new ones. Cleaning all the connecting plugs, connectors to the MAF , idel regulator connectors , MAF sensors, etc.... with the correct spray cleaners.
Now is a bit better, but still showing same code...engine check light would also come on. Any ideas what else it could be? I also realized with my voltage meter, the voltage fluctuates quite abit, from 12.8 to 14, constantly jumping up and down, will this affect anything? If I install a set of ground wires, will it help? Thanks

Look into SRI's gold pin connector kit.

Also check the fuse box: mine had some burnt connections.

Sounds like a bad MAF sensor.

I have switched them from left to right, how do you find out which one it is?

If you look up codes in the Ferrari-specific DTC databases, it should indicate whether it refers to the 1/6 bank or the 7/12 bank.

Absent that, if it is a generalized code, then the problem maybe something else, such as the common voltage supply or ground from the shared MAF circuits (for example).

Another diag check you can do is to disconnect the MAF's (one at a time) while the car is running --- the one that causes the least (or maybe even no) amount of change in the idle performance when disconnected is the bad one.

I did what you said, disconnected the MAF, the one on the passenger side as soon as I pulled the plug, it was revving up and down, the one on the driver side nothing happened, so does it mean the driver side one is 100% no good? Confirmed??????

I can't diagnose your car from my living room.

So, I can't be 100% sure about anything regarding the problem. I also know that the MAF sensors for the 456 are quite expensive, so it is hard to justify just getting a new one and trying it out.

But, based on what you have reported, it seems very likely that the driver-side MAF sensor is indeed bad. However, it could also be a problem with the wiring that supplies that MAF or with the ECU itself.

From time to time, there are inexpensive used sensors for sale on Ebay --- that might be worth a try as test, but then I would go ahead and replace with a new unit once confirmed.

You could also try this place --- they claim to offer OEM Bosch MAFs for very reasonable prices. However, I have no personal experience with them, so please do your own research before you buy --- there are a lot of counterfeit parts out there !
