1995 456 GT Does this control the main fan? Mine cycles on and off quickly. I'm thinking it should have a 10 degree spread.
This is one of two temp sensors. The other located near the thermostat housing. You can do a simple ohm reading check with a multimeter if you have one available. 30c - around 2000 OHMS 50c - around 1000 OHMS 90c - around 250 OHMS Be sure to check Coolant level etc. Be sure to also check that it is not your A/C cycling as the fan is used to control the pressure of the AC system. Thanks, Why the three phases and not two? Is that how it goes on high temp and shuts off at a lower temp?
I don’t know whether your confusing my tests for the 3 different temperatures for fan speeds. The 3 temperatures are irrelevant to how the system operates, You should have 2 fans speeds and off. Testing the sensor at 3 different temperatures will confirm the sensor is working correctly if the resistances are roughly the same as mentioned above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
