The unit is a Sony, and there is not really anything you can do if it doesn't work except for using the reset button in the faceplate. Have you tried that?

What is the problem with your unit? Does the display not come up, no sound, or both?

Mine had issues with audio crackling and the display, and I fixed both.

In the end, the original is often more valued, interestingly even if the original was a bit poor. :)
The Sony unit, if broken, can certainly be repaired by a qualified electronics repair technician. But as said, try the reset first.

In my unit, the display failed because of overvoltage to the display unit, the voltage control failed because of sunlight heat. That might eventually happen to all of them?

FYI, I tracked down the original Sony unit type number before modification for Ferrari to remote faceplate. It is the XTC-U200. Using this into Google should easily find you a manual.
