... 456 Suspension and dash problem

I have come across an interesting piece of information that all 456 owners should be aware of. This might also be the source of my dash/instrument shorting problem. The Suspension section the Workshop Manual makes note that to prevents suspension faults you should NOT turn the ignition key more than three consecutive times without moving the car or else it will throw an error. You are supposed to remove the instrument fuse to avoid problems... Well I did that about 50 times as I was trying to reset the stereo in my car (deck has a stupid security function) and I started getting the suspension error and the instrument fuse started blowing. Now I am now almost certain that this is the soource of my problem...which is good/news bad news since I can't reset the ECU unless I have an SD2 (which I don't), but at least I may be able to avoid shipping the car for what appears to be a basic issue and have the local independent look at it first.
