There have been threads about this but I thought I post this anyway to see the comparison based on the "virtual reality cut and paste" I think they don't look bad at all. (Pictures taken from Steve Harris Import's 2003 456M GT, Canna de Fucile/Sabbia for sale there)
I will pick her up this coming Saturday. My friend is going to test drive the 1989 328 GTS red/tan we saw last Saturday. We will be going south again (sixth times in the past two months for me) It worth driving, not too far, 2.5 hours with "regular car", 1 hour 50 minutes with the F-car --- GO FIGURE
It is a great idea, it looks if it is the "official" wheel for a 456. But the rea tifosi will see the detail!
I think those wheels look great, they are more aggressive, not too much. The 456 is such and elegant understated car, too much wheel would disrupt that subtlety.
I think it looks too much with Modular wheels on the 456M because the car is elegant and not too racing looking. I think 550 wheels will fit the best. I will post some photos for the real thing
Another thing I notice the difference between 02/03 and older 456Ms is the brake rotor. (Cross drilled vs. plain) When the wheels are replaced with 550's I think the brake rotors have to be cross drilled to look good, better braking and not looking too BMW with plain rotor.
