456 GT Blowing coolant out the vents.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I suppose that about sums that up. I am hoping someone will chime in a tell me this is typical and that there is a broken hose, etc... ha. In any event, it is maybe most likely I need a heater core, but anyone have directions or pics on changing one out? Any thoughts otherwise? It is definately coolant out of the middle vents, not a ton, but enough it will spit at me. Looks as if a heater core isnt a lot of fun... any help would be great! Car is a 95, 6 speed. beauitiful car....
sorry for late post. having one re-manufactured right as I post. will be in next week from Brian C's outfit. The mfgr'd part will be better. Some joker put, we think, stop leak of the worst kind into the radiator at one point...althought my heater worked, it produced a leak when working on another item while in the shop and found the poor overworked item to be almost clogged beyond belief: it was a good soldier. I'll try to get a pic from BC, IF he's willing otherwise he might just be able to snap what the replacement looks like and the cost I'll hand out. but you are correct, that core is a bugger to get out....just time. ~ rik
