Hi All, It's been 7 years now, and sadly the time has come to part with the 456M, primarily given I've got 2 kids in college and the expenses aren't getting any lesser. The car has been absolutely fantastic to me, is in beautiful condition -- I've cared for it extremely well, with all scheduled services being done by Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, CT. Pictures and description can be found @ Bonhams : Greenwich Concours d'Elegance Auction The auction is scheduled for June 4th. To it's next owner, if you are among the participants on this board, I would love to keep in touch and appreciate any extended dialog once the auction is over. It's a fantastic example of one of the last front-engined V12 6-speeds, and it's next owner will doubtless enjoy the thrill of putting it through it's paces via the gated transmission. I will miss this car very dearly. It's truly been more to me than I can express. Peter in CT Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is the direct link Bonhams : 1999 Ferrari 456M GTVIN. ZFFWP44A0X0116665 Fair priced, cool car, hreat combination. I am sure it will bring more then the estimate, can break the 100$
What a beauty!! Rosso Barchetta, Daytona seats, Manual....woof!! Had I not just acquired a Tdf example, this would be the find I had been searching for. It really ought to well out-pace Bonham's estimate range given comparable cars (auto and manual) at the Bonham's and RM Sotheby's Scottsdale auctions in February, both of which well exceeded this estimate range. It seems rather pessimistic to me. In any case, serious GLWS!!
Agreed, I had been eyeing this car. If I hadn't just purchased a 456GT, I would be bidding on this beautiful car. Estimate seems low for a manual M. GLWS
For comparison, Driver's Source in Houston has an almost identical car with a few more miles, asking $123k. Car is now sale pending about a month or so after they listed it.
Hi, Actually, if you check my prior posts on the 456 board, you'll see I did mention it last September as being in my plan for 2017. I did get a bit of interest from a fellow F-Chatter and owner out of California, but nothing materialized. I figured by going to Bonhams, we level the playing field, get a worldwide audience, and finally get a public answer to where the 6-speed manuals are valued. Again, I want this car to go to someone I know given how strongly I feel about it's condition. It's gorgeous and runs flawlessly. I pray the next owner takes as good care of it as I have. With it's color combo and interior condition, I think it's extremely rare, and hope it is valued as such.
Daniel- That is a 456 GT, not a 456M GT, on E-Bay. It is admittedly a 5.2 456 GT, so closer to a 456M than the 95 2.7 456 GTs.
Hi All, Just a heads-up the car has arrived under the tent there at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich @ the Bonham's Concourse. Again, if anyone here is registered to bid, I am 100% available to you after the auction this Sunday the 4th. Please in the meantime utilize the folks at Bonham's who have everything you need prior to the auction commencement @ 12noon on Sunday. Good luck, and I can assure you the next person to own this will enjoy it immensely. I will forever miss this car, there is a huge gap my heart now for it. Best, Peter
Thanks / Hope one of the Good Guys here gets it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Considering that everything else in this auction has been crossing at 70-80% of low estimate, and this went above the high estimate, this was the best performing car in the auction. Estimate was $65-85k and the car sold at $92 plus a 10% premium. Well done, sir. Apparently, Greenwich is not a great auction location!!
