I think I saw that right behind the stereo where all the switches were. You may have to take out the console to get to it. If you take out the ashtray screw and the two screws behind the switches and it all comes out.

at work and I have a non "M" anyway, but http://www.eurospares.co.uk/partTable.asp?M=1&Mo=367&A=2&B=19377&S= might be a good place to start.

Shoot - still can't find the D*nm connector, I pulled the center section where the shifter and stereo is and can't find it. Also removed the side tunnel panel and can't find it. I even paid $295 for the original Electrical section of the factory workshop manual and the sensor is NOT identified... I am about to blow a gasket this is ridiculous...

Your photos are great! When I get to work tomorrow, I'll see what I can find out for you. What year/assembly # is your 456?

It's a '01 GT - I have attached additional pics of the side and center console. I have checked around for loose connectors and I only have found the cell phone pre-wiring and old speaker connector, none of which match up to the sensor. It's ridiculous that Ferrari doesn't have it listed on the electrical wiring diagram - absolutely amazing! I have noticed that A/C controller is not shown either - makes me wonder if it is yet ANOTHER section of the manual that addresses the A/C system separately. Does anyone have the full set to confirm?
    TIA
