456M GT Headlights

I own a beautiful 03 456M GT which I intend to keep as my daily driver for many years. However, compared to my 360 Spider and my new Maserati Quattroporte, the headlights on the 456 are clearly unsafe for fast night driving. I have tried replacing the headlight bulbs with 60 watt xenon replacements. The result was little or improvement noted. I am afraid to try 100 watt bulbs because I fear that the heat given off from the 100 watt bulbs may melt the headklight housings. It seems to me that the Euro spec 456's must have better standard issue headlights to cope with the much faster nightime driving prevalent in Italy and in Germany. Does anybody have thoughts or insights into this issue or a solution for the problem? Also, does anybody own a Euro spec 456M that I can talk to to see what Ferrari installed for headlights in those Euro spec cars? Thanks.
