For those that hate the Connelly leather falling into their toupee - I'm getting a lesson in what it takes to fix it properly - complete removal so glue can be reapplied. Who knew the headliner wraps under the majority of the upholstery?! - yikes![IMG][IMG]

A couple of years ago, I had the same problem plus a wrinkled rear parcel shelf. Had the headliner reglued and a new matched-dyed leather parcel shelf installed for around a grand.

Really? An hour? Talk with Monza456, Craig Nelson, owner of The Jag Shop in Portland. I'm sure he'd be interested.

Allan- Affirmative, that is a lot of trim to remove in an hour, never mind about the blind fasteners and adhesive.

It took a lot more than that, I'm sure (and Craig has been, with me at least, very careful to only charge for the amount of time it takes someone who is at the top of the learning/efficiency curve doing it right the first time).

I've been quoted about 4 hours total for the liner repair - to take out, send off liner for reglue apply at proper upholstery shop and then put back together. It's worth it as will be like new, won't make me feel like I'm wearing a leather wig when driving and good for another 10 years hopefully. I trust the shop and decision (another Craig at Studio 47 in Ohio). Excellent crew.

Also having sticky parts replaced, winking headlight motor fixed, bad aftermarket fog and tail lights removed from PO - which required grill replace - ugh ! (Why would someone add fog lights when 456M already has wonderful fog lights?!) and finally had window regulator pulled and rebuilt by F1 Imports in Naples Fl - fixes the window alignment issue once and for all.

I should add I learned almost all of this from Fchat - thank you all! Can't wait to get her back and winter to calm so can hear the roar of 12.

Well at least I'm not alone; it always easy to get paranoid thinking you got the only lemon in the bag of oranges.

You're not alone. I have done the headliner, rear shelf (twice), dash pod, and dashboard.

I would say the dash was the hardest one...

Dash for me, and mine is a bit newer. Our headliners are not as big, so not as big a problem.
