456MGT Pinanfarina side badges/script

I did the search.. didn't find anything conclusive.. yet

Questions:

My 2002 456MGT does not have any pininfarina badging on the sides; should it?

I've looked at hundreds of photos online; seems 456s have badges and script just below the badge on each side, whereas 456Ms (most) only have the script. I assume this is because the 456M was not manufactured at pininfarina. Is this correct?

 

Earlier 456 were built by Pininfarina and will have badges that say “Pininfarina”. Mine is a ‘01 and it says “Designed by Pininfarina”

Thanks! I think the M's only got the "desegno pininfarina" script badges.. I can't tell by the pic what your actaully says.. do you (or anyone) have a close up shot of the OEM badging that came on the 456M's?

Also, did all M's get the script badge?

Thanks!! What I can't seem to figure out is why some 456M have the script and some do not. Even the original 456M sales brochure shows some of the cars with the script badge and some without. Anyone have ideas as to why?

 

Here's why:
Cars w/ script badge: the technican's wife made him a lovely meal and amazing love the night before.
Cars w/o script badge: the technician had a fight with his wife the night before.

 

So it seems…

look at press photos for the dash ‘456GT’ badge on the early cars. Airbag and non airbag cars have pictures with and without them.

I remember reading some old thread, where someone said you just hope your car wasn’t built on a Monday or a Friday
