My 2011 458 glove compartment won't open. I looked at the manual went into Main, Car Setup to ensure the glove compartment lock is off. Pushing the open button, nothing. Can't find any specific fuse, there is a glove compartment relay, but guess where that is?

    Any suggestions? Thank You.

Isn't there a manual release similar to that on a F430?

there is a manual release string loop (red) at the very bottom of the glove compartment. You can release it by pulling on it.

given italian logic, I believe the fuse you are looking for is behind the glove compartment :)

joking aside, like 707 said, there's a red string underneath of glove compartment, probably tugged in an elastic ribbon, pull down to open glove compartment.

I just went through this. In car setup set the lock ON, not OFF. Italian logic. :)

In the car set up, you have to assign the button in order for it to open the glove box:

Main -> Car Setup -> Glove Box Key -> On

If you select OFF, it disables the 'OPEN' button (valet mode).

They should label it Ferris Bueller mode, not valet mode. :)

I find out little things like this all the time. It was great figuring out how to adjust the bass and treble; the Bose stereo can actually sound decent if you tweak those a bit.

Are you sure you have Bose or you have modified your car? I thought Ferrari uses JBL for all of its stereos for the 458.
