I purchased my 458 back in September, it has been a wonderful car and I have really enjoy driving it and owning it... I live in New York City and have experienced difficulty with respect to drive ability, parking and the worry that something may happen to the car when I'm not around with it... I received an offer for over $10,000 more than I paid for the vehicle from a buyer in Florida.. my car is a low option vehicle with a sticker price of 240k.. am I making the right decision by letting it go? could I get more if I just wait?

Take the offer and run. You had the car and drove it for 1,200 miles and you're making 10k over what you paid. Can you get more...I'm not sure. Yours is not the only used 458 on the market.

I just bought a used 458, albeit a 2010 model. I had a deal on a very low mileage, well optioned 2011 at about $7,500 less than MSRP from a dealer as well. I found lightly optioned cars were selling at larger discounts than "well" optioned cars. If you aren't wild about the car and have a better use for the $, I would take the money and run.

I'd find a way to try and keep it if you can. The 458 is the greatest exotic built right now, car of the year as labelsed by many magazines and knowledable car people. It's worth the hassle to try and keep it..

You are saying that you love the car but can't enjoy it. Unless you just want to keep it around as a 'trophy,' and it sounds like you don't, let it go. The deal is good. It probably won't get better and is likely to get worse.

I feel sorry that you can't enjoy this wonderful car. It was actually painful reading your post.

if your final decision is to get rid of the 458, i would say take the money and run, i doubt you can get more.

Your 458 looks sensational!!! But I would sell it, take the $10K and buy another in 12 months time for $200K. :D

Good luck with your decision and take care.

If you don't use it and somebody give you more of what you've paid? Just sell it, for sure you will not make more money when Spider is coming!

Sell it. There will be a lot more on sale with the launch of the spider. In a couple of months, you will be taking a hit if you decide to sell.

If you are ready to let it go and you can make a profit of $10,000 do it NOW! The 458's are going to drop in price within the next 8-12 months in my opinion. If you wait your car eventually WILL depreciate then you will lose money. Gorgeous car in white! Good Luck either way..

If you no longer get 'that' feeling, let it go but you might be loosing sales tax credit on a future deal if your state is like Indiana.

It's painful writing the post... The car is a dream... Driving it is amazing.... It is built for good roads, which unfortunately we do not have here... I always feed like I am going to damage the car with one of these pot holes...
I think the time has come to let it go to a better driving environment... The buyer is from Florida... This it the right place for the car...
If I get withdrawal anxiety, I will just have to get another one...
Thanks for your feedback... It's much appreciated.

I have enough problems with my CS in Atlanta. Can't imagine a 458 in NYC.

I'd sell and pocket the $10k

I say let it go. It was fun... it isn't anymore for you. Let someone else drive it and enjoy it.

Have you talked about giving it back to your dealer? You might want to look at this if you ever want to order a new F car in the future. I'm not saying you are one but they don't look kindly at "flippers". Having it a few months and then selling it at a profit pretty much sounds like that to FNA.

If you bought the car to enjoy....then drive it and enjoy it. Its the finest sports car in the world.

BUT...if you bought it to make 10K...well then I guess you sell. Who puts $240K on the line to make 10K?

You're gonna miss that car! just my opinion!
