    Can any 458 or 488 owners please post photos of their fire extinguisher and how they have it mounted or positioned. Ferrari provides some pretty fancy cases for their fire bottles and I am interested to see the various options out there.

    My aftermarket nstallation in 488 GTB.
    On the plus side, it uses existing screws places (so it can be removed and the car restored to stock), the drawback is that it needs to be removed to access the battery.

    Thank you for the photos and keep them coming.

    Just a question for those with factory installed fire extinguishers. Do passengers ever comment about the extinguisher or bump into it when getting in/riding?

    Besides that Harry ... for which car will the fire extinguishers be used ?

    I think in that respect my setup is better than Ferrari's - because Ferrari adds the extinguisher on the side where the foot space is already diminished by the wheel well, whereas mine is along the centre tunnel and is also not in the way of getting in the car (and it's also closer to the driver, so it has only benefits - apart from preventing battery access)

    Here is mine, factory optioned...wife comments about foot space but doesn't complain. I have a 488 spider on order and optioned another fire extinguisher because I think it looks cool....

    Yes my wife hates the fire extinguisher as it scuffs her shoes...but then again its the same in my 996 GT3 RS so I guess she hates all my toys. :-(

    How many of those with the fire extinguishers mounted have actually used them? Please share your experience and the aftermath.

    Admittedly fire extinguishers are very rarely used but the day you need one, you will thank your living stars you have one.
