I’m looking to purchase an aftermarket exhaust. Anyone have any experience with the 458 Akrapovic Slip On exhaust? From the youtube videos, it seems that there is more burble at lower revs but sounds worse than stock at higher revs? I’m guessing the volume would be much much louder though. I’m also considering IPE and Novitec which seems to have a nice high pitched scream. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
i agree, pricey, but their history, in-house titanium foundry, motorsports involvement, OEM work, etc. let me sleep easy knowing I likely got a thoroughly developed set of pipes. Kline is definitely good price value but seems more like a young boutique manufacture. Not sure how much R & D and testing they can put into each model in comparison. Just my 2 cents
Good to know. Thank you. I've been contemplating both because the dealer will install either but will only warranty the Akrapovic .
My dealer will warranty Tubi and Akrapovic. Not sure what else. I think they also warranty systems that just do valve control as well. I need to check with them again.
With Tubi that was definitely the no-brainer option back in the 360 days. I think that since then, there has been a lot more competition and they have pretty much rested on their laurels which is a shame as I would have liked to keep everything Italian. They are pretty much neighbors with Ferrari. For the 458 they only have stainless steel mufflers which won’t do much sound wise since the real choke point is the cats plus there is no real weight savings keeping it stainless.

Why not try a remote controlled valve controller first in combination with the original exhaust? I love this after market upgrade and it is not that expensive.
