how does your 458 compare at high speeds, to other cars, such as a 911 in sixth gear?

    more RPM than you anticipated?

was too busy to look at the tach, next time I will, but it sounded pretty ramped up at 160mph

has anyone gone 200 in one of these?

180+ on the straight at COTA and the 911's were so far behind me I didn't notice what they sounded like :)

I'm going to call BS on that. No 458 has done 180+ on the back straight at COTA. 165 is what mine will show, but it is really 158-160 with GPS.

And I have a Speciale with straight pipes and a tune, which is a little faster than my Italia. There is no way you are going 180+ at COTA, but I do believe the car might be telling you that. Ferrari speedometers like to show high numbers. ;)

Haha, you’re right, I don’t remember what it showed but gps said 163 which is more believable.

I've hit 300 km/hr on German autobahn several times in Speciale. The car is absolutely glued to the road with downforce, feels like low altitude flight.

This is an odd ask, it's apples and oranges! As a 911 and 458 owner, 911s are all about top end and don't even come truly alive till 5k or more, where as my 458 is ALWAYS alive! I've had my 458 up to just under 190 during covid on a plane flat interstate.
