Hi Everyone....Since my garage is so narrow, I am not able to open the passenger side door to run the charger on that side of the car once the car is in the garage. What I would like to do is run it from the drivers side door, which would mean the actual charger would sit in the car (part that lights up) and then the cord that plugs into the wall would run out the drivers side door....
Wondering if this is safe to do, or is the charger (part that lights up) not meant to be inside the car (I know I might sound crazy, but just want to be on the safe side and not start a fire or something)
Also, since the cord that plugs into the wall is a tad bit thicker than the cord that plugs into the car, is it ok to run the thicker cord through the door and then have the door closed on it? Would run through window but it gets dusty in there and want to keep windows up
    thanks in advance

I have a Spider and run the cord out the rear window which can be dropped and inch or so and still keep the car locked and other windows up.

the charger sits on the passenger seat. No problem.

I run the charger through a power cord which protects from power surges so as not to damage the charger just in case.

    hope this helps.

I run the charger though both doors depending on which way I park my car. The cord is long enough from the drivers side that I leave the charger safely out side the car.
