I did the 30 pin to lightning converter and lightning extension setup. The problem was the iPhone's battery kept running down when I played music and ran Waze simultaneously. I am putting in a 10 amp USB connector under the dash and running a 90 degree McDodo lightning cable thru the dash to my iphone mount. I have been able to stream music through a Bovee 1000 and use Waze for hours when I tested this setup.

Anybody else have any issue connecting Bluetooth period? Mine is a 14 spider, the Bluetooth pairing option is yellow but doesn’t seem to work anything beyond that. I’d like to know so I can order one of these BT adapters.
Thank you in advance for any answers!

I just installed in my ‘13 the above mentioned Bovee 1000, purchased from Amazon and it is working well. Bluetooth music and simultaneously streamed Waze. Used it last night for an hour drive without issue.

I have a 2013 spider with the iPod adapter. Bovee plugs in and NO issues.
Save for having to occasionally disconnect and then reconnect to make it work after parking the car.
FYI; I never leave the Bovee connected when I park car in garage overnight. Afraid of any battery drain - be it real or imagined.

The 30 pin connectors don’t recognize the new lightning converters. I just tried that today the iPhone says device not recognized. Ordered the Bovee

The Bovee will disappoint you. I've tried three different ones, they work for about a week and then . . . . I use the hard drive and a 1st generation iPod nano for music.

    Please update with your experience.

I’ve been using the Bovee for 3 years and it always works. Every now and then I have to do a Bluetooth reset with it, but it’s worked pretty well.

You are one of the (very few) lucky ones. I've tried three Bovees in my 2014 458 Spider. All three I needed to stop/start bluetooth on my phone every time. Eventually, the Bovee disappears from my menu options. I put the same Bovee in a different car and it works perfectly.
