    Hi everyone,

    Recently I decided to put a clear bra over the entire car (2013 458 Italia) and wanted to share the progress with you all as it is happening. This thread is to show the progress of the detail job as well as the behind scenes of the clear bra as it happens. High quality photos of both detail job's before and after as well as clear bra install will also be posted.

    Over the next 4 days, the car will go through the following steps:

    DETAILING:

    The detailing job is being done by Daniel @ http://fb.com/TheCarConnoisseur. I was introduced to Daniel by a mutual connection and spoke to him about the needs of my car. He and I agreed on the terms and he just started the detail process about an hour ago today (1/31/2017). Here are the steps as I understood from him:

    1- Primary wash
    2- Clay and decontamination
    3- Cleaning the surface prior to polishing
    4- Wash
    5- Polishing to remove swirl marks
    6- Wash the car
    7- Clear the surface with alcohol and water to prepare the surface for Clear Bra install

    Clear Bra install:

    Kris from Myko Designs https://www.fb.com/MykoDesigns will be doing the clear bra install. I'll update this thread about his progress and the steps he will go through with photos.

    I would seriously question the careless approach of a detailing outfit allowing an employee to wear a wrist watch while performing work shown above, but then again, that's just me.

    That picture was before detailing started. He was taking the badge off. After that the detailer arrived and detailed the car.
