    I was driving by a local car rental company in L.A who also specialize in exotics and to my surprise there was a red/tan 458 on the lot . I pulled in and asked how they managed to buy a 458 so quickly and their response was that it wasn't too difficult to get it. Car has 900 miles but they have had it since new, $2500/day and 430 spiders used to be in the same price range. It is also for sale and they will be calling me with the price. The Lambo in the front is a new Superleggera...

    Just found it strange that a rental company would be able to order and recieve a 458 so quickly. Would you say the dealers are getting soft due to customers backing out of deals?

    It is possible that the car for rent is not a US car.Remember rest of the world got 458 allotments 3-4 mo before US.
    Makes no diff when renting but does if considering purchase. Due diligence is in order!
