Does anybody know how please? I can't immediately see a method, and obviously don't want to break it!

Which badge. Yellow or chrome .

Yellow has crews plus adhesive tape .... chrome has two screws ...

Sorry yes, I meant the chrome badge in the bumper opening. I couldn't see any screws (I'm away from my car right now so can't look) - where exactly are they please?

If I recall correctly, there are two nuts that hold he emblem to the protrusion. Unfortunately, I am also away from my car to verify.

Be careful what you wish for - You make any change of the car from what is on the build sheet, and it destroys the Concours value for the car!!!

In case it helps anybody else - there are two 5mm nuts on the back of the badge. Undoing these allows the silver horse to be removed, leaving the black plastic base, which has a long cross head bolt into the front bumper.

I'm doing this by the way to mount a front number plate - I was never really happy with any other place I found, and this actually works quite well. All I needed was a longer bolt to mount the plate on to the black plastic base part of the hold badge (which acts as a convenient solid area to spread the load).

Agree fully with you on this.

Can you please send a photo of your solution for us to learn ?

Did you bolt your plate straight on the plastic ?

Can one bolt hold the plate, is it not moving around that bolt (wind force) ?

I did initially, and that would work fine I think, but may bend a little too much at high speeds (just guessing!). So now I've used a 10 inch wide or so piece of steel between the plate and mount, to strengthen things up more.

(I'll do a photo when I can, but the car is currently in my garage close to the wall, and I can't move it until I've finished some other jobs. Also, just noticed a typo in my post above - I meant "old badge", not "hold badge"!)

Not sure how much these will help, but here are pictures of the parts I mentioned.

Everything together (number plate, steel backing plate, new bolt, plastic horse mount, silver horse emblem):

Front of plate, with new bolt (and black plastic cap - there is a separate part of this to cover the bolt head once the plate is mounted):

Plastic mount for silver badge - this sits between the plate and bumper, with the bolt pictured above passing through the centre of it to mount to the car (you can also see the two smaller holes used to mount the silver part of the badge originally). The ultimate best solution would be if this part could be re-made (3D printed?), with the horse section replaced by a rectangular section used to back the number plate:

Now unused silver badge, showing small bolts and 5mm nuts:

Here are the end results. I'd still much prefer to run without a plate, but in the UK that isn't really an option (for me at least), so I think this is about the best solution. The plate itself is smaller than it should be, but hopefully still much better than no plate at all as far as the police (and petrol stations) are concerned.

I should have seen those already! They didn't load on my phone. That's perfect. Thank you.
