I am going to Ferrari Factory in 2 weeks for a tour; that is not the front gate right ? as will have a couple of hours before hand
This is the side gate, out of which cars are driven for "shakedown" runs. They then re-enter from the same driveway. In the background you can see a car wash that the cars are sent through after the test drives. This entrance is around the corner from the main front gate. It's a great spot to take pictures of all the various models! Fred
The gate is on Via Luigi Musso. If you imagine looking at the famous front gate, the first street to the right of the factory property is this street. If you go down the street, you won't have any problem finding it. Cras come out every several minutes to test at Fiorano and come back. It's a pretty cool place to sit and watch. I have never had any problems with the guards as long as you don't block traffic.
Actually very few of the cars coming out of this gate drive to or from Fiorano. Most head for the road test, others are driven to and from Zanasi for paint corrections.
I think it's gorgeous but I won't pay extra for paint unless I plan on keeping the car forever. Otherwise, one will lose most of the added cost when the car is sold in a couple of years. Too bad Grigio Ferro isn't standard because it blows Silverstone away!
Interesting, says GTO, but no matte finished roof. And the young guy driving while on his cell phone sure looks like Sebatian Vettel. "Mark, you can have the #1 at Red Bull, I am driving for Ferrari".
