Just picked up a 2014 458 Italia and I'm trying to load my MP3s on the HDD. The HDD was empty when I got the car. As I was importing several hundred files (with the engine off), I turned on the engine. This caused the import to be interrupted and after that, it's like there are no files on the HDD. The Manage screen shows that there are 3.2 GB of used space but I can't access the "Delete Music" option. Also, there are no songs to play. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting the battery, I tried importing more music, I tried everything I can think of. Does anyone know of a way to reset the HDD? Is I knew where it's located, I could remove it and reformat it on my Windows PC. That may fix the problem, maybe? Any suggestions (aside from taking it to a dealer and paying an arm and a leg?) Hmm, an interesting question. It does sound like a possibly corrupt file system, but I don't know where it physically is or how to re-format it. I have a 2014 458 Spider and I use the HDD for music. I always copy music with the battery tender (CTEK 7002) connected. I have found I need to put the music in a directory for the infotainment system to see it. I can create playlists under that directory. So my usb drive that I am copying from would be /music/playlistname/songs. The hard drive then shows playlistname. Rob
Yeah, I've tried looking at the online diagrams but I can't find where it's located. Is there someone here that knows? I imagine that reformatting it will take care of the issue. Thanks, Alvaro
Sounds similar to https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/hard-drive-infotainment-wont-work.566773/, but no clear solution in that thread either.
