Anyone have any plans to do this to their 458? Or has anyone done it and can supply pics?

    Thanks!

Im betting it will be at least 9 months before BBS has these out for the 458. Their racing division builds the FI and they are already too busy with orders for race teams.

They are not available yet. I would have gotten them if they were.

+1 I enquired a few months ago about having a set built. The answer I received was that they needed TUV approval and there was no date on when this will happen. I'll be one of the first to order when they become available.

Looking at the offsets, it looks like there is a good chance the GTO wheels would fit, but they are $14K or so. That would give 9.5" wheels in front and 11.5" wheels in the rear, 1" wider than OEM F&R.

    458

    Five Spoke 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm
    Front 8.5J X 20 ET 46.5mm, Rear 10.5J X 20 ET 58.5 mm

    599 GTO

    Five V/Ten Spoke 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm
    Front 9.5J x 20” ET 38 mm, Rear 11.5J x 20” ET 63 mm

I think if I replace wheels- I will go the HRE route

I've got HREs on my 911 and love them. I looked at every HRE combo possible...but none seemed to fit the look of the 458 to me.

Ive only seen a couple that really look good. I posted pics awhile back of the 458 with ADV1 wheels are great. Some of the best looking options, IMO.

I sent an email a few weeks ago to BBS of America. Their reply was:

We only produce the FI for the F430 at this time.
We have asked about the fitment but no word from Germany yet. These are produced by our Motorsports division
in Germany. They are at full capacity at the moment since racing season started so it’s hard to get an answer!

BBS Fi wheels will probably fit the 458 italia in the f430 sizes with the potential of putting on semi slick tyres or full race slicks like on the 458 challenge. 8.75x19 front 11.25x19 rear with pilot sport cup 245 35 fr 325 30 rr or slicks (better) These wheels are very light, lighter than hre and most other wheels and very beautiful! They are also stock equipment on the Ferrari 599 GTO!

The wheels of the gto won't fit! They have too high offsets! And there is no reason to fit different wheels than the oem forged five spoke other than put on 19 inch wheels if you want to use race slicks with them or pilot sport cup tyres with 245 35 19 325 30 19. Other than that stick with oem sizes and pilot super sport tyres.

I've talked to BBS every couple of weeks for 458 fitment FI wheels. They still aren't in production. We have gotten so many inquires I have offered to buy 10 sets to help motivate these and still nothing from BBS germany.

Honestly I would guess that these will be released spring/early summer next year.
