Hi dear Fchat Family, I need your help about my new project. I am thinking to convert my 458 Italia to 458 Speciale with bumpers and side skirts. I found front hood, front bumper and side skirts (includes all parts) but I couldn't find the rear bumper. Do you know anyone or anywhere that sells 458 speciale rear bumper ? I really need that part, if it would be used one there is no problem. Hope you will help me to find a rear bumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whatever you do it won't be a speciale - you'll know it and so will everyone else. You'll probably mess up the aero and spoil an already excellent Italia. But it's your money.
Just because of I really like the front aggressive looking of speciale but if it could be very hard to convert it I won't do that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You are right, thanks for the advice. I am still thinking that is that right to convert that because the rear side is going to be really hard to convert because of the exhaust system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
not just the exhaust.. you'll need fenders as well. I really don't think this is a bolt on conversion.. you should just buy a Speciale, it will likely be cheaper.
I know what you mean by the aggressive front look of a Speciale. I love it too. But like others have said, people will know that it's not a Speciale. You're actually better off buying the real one but it's your car. It reminds me of when I was little. I had a really nice pair of Air Jordans and I took off the Air Jordan label and sewed it on my pair of shorts! Lol...I didn't have money to buy a real Jordan shorts. Silly things you do as a high school kid. Good luck with your conversion if you do it. My advice is not to do it.
the 458 Italia or Spider is Ferrari's mona lisa. Side skirts, hood changes, front vent changes, degrade the perfection of what will likely go down as the most beautiful Ferrari design in the manufacturer's history. The specialie is less problematic than the butchery of the 488, but from a design perspective is still less clean. For more "aggressive" looks lambo and mclaren are good complements to the stable.
Why not save whatever time and money you'd have to invest in that project and get a used Speciale instead?
Waste of time, money, and effort. Even if you have the means to do it, don't do it. If you have the means to do the aesthetic conversion, you could have spent that amount towards a genuine Speciale. Think smart not with your heart. Think of it as trying to make your very hot chick hotter by buying a slightly hotter chick's expensive clothes. At the very least wait a few years when someone makes knock-off Speciale body parts like they do for the 360 guys turning their 360s into Challenge Stradales look-alikes. Curious, what mods (if any) have you done to you Italia thus far?
+458. This might be one of the silliest ideas I've heard of on this forum. Butcher a 458 to turn it into a Speciale? Certainly can do what ever you want put in the name of all that's holy please don't do it!
IMHO the 458 italia is not a very pretty Ferrari V8 with triple exhaust pipes, mustaches and for too soft lines. I'm sorry for the owner who thinks its a masterpiece. Interior is fine. How ever the Speciale (and the 488) are beautiful cars just like the 430 and 355.. in that respect, I would only advise you to do it ıf you like to drive the car, the carpets and the leather upholstry. You can install an aftermarket innotech speciale exhaust for this project. Enjoy
To the OP: as our friends said it's your money and your car so do as you please. However the conversion of the rear bumper will be very costly as it is not just a bolt-on process: the issues you are most likely to face are too countless to mention (amongst others: change exhaust system, bolts might not align with the Italia chassis and need to be modded, the ecu might be adversely affected in various ways, etc. etc.). To add to that it will always be a half done job as the Speciale has active aerodynamic fins on the lower diffuser that will not be operational on an Italia. Last but not least, even if you were successful in installing the rear bumper you would still have to change the other chassis elements (side skirts, hood elements, lights, etc..) to make it resemble a Speciale, at least from the outside. If you like the Speciale front bumper better it will be relatively easy to change just that: if memory serves me correctly my firiend Fchat member Burakusta put an aftermarket front bumper on his Italia which looks exactly like the Speciale front bumper making his coupe very unique: you can search for pics of the car on his threads or shoot him a pm. Alternatively, I have extensively modded my Italia and could advise you on more efficient ways to do it, shoot me a pm if interested. best
