Several websites were talking about the 458 with HELE system. The car would get his premiere at Geneve. Now when the Motorshow of Geneve has opens its doors I've heard noting about the 458 HELE. Does some has more info and put some pictures of it. Are there any pictures of the 458 at the Motorshow of Geneve (the yellow one with black roof). Xander
It may be silly but why waste? And Bob is right, manufacturers don't have a choice when it comes to this green crap, if it allows Ferrari to keep building exceptional machines then I'm for it. What I find interesting is that the lowest CO2 producing naturally aspirated gasoline engine is the 2 cylinder found in the 500 Twin Air is rated at 95g/km. The 458 which has a high revving and astoundingly awesome engine really isn't that far off, it's at the same level as a hybrid V8 SUV. As supercars like these get cleaner and cleaner then the green world really won't have much to say about them "destroying the planet." Just something interesting, any more thoughts?
I'd rather they do this than someone decides that there's no point to sports cars anymore because they pollute too much for their own good. And, if someone wants this, let them buy it. I don't see the harm. I wouldn't but I can see how some might want to. This idea that Ferrari is some kind of cast in concrete experience for only macho men who dream of being race drivers and track their cars every weekend is total baloney. They build some pretty sophisticated things for sophisticated clients who enjoy them on the road in everyday use or on special occassions. The 1970's are gone. Some people need to stop living in the age of Disco.
The idea of sitting in my Ferrari at a stop light and having it turned off is crazy. It boggles my mind. It's like saying that because I don't want to have any more kids, I should cut off my penis. The Ferrari experience is a whole one; smells, sounds, g-forces, sexy curves, design, colors, etc... To sit in it at a light and have it be completely silent is just wrong. It's fine in a car like a Toyota or Honda which are completely silent even when running. But STAY AWAY from my Ferrari you, you, you wacky people!!!
exactly, but maybe with not so many words i cringed.. It's a ferrari, not a common every day vehicle. Less Government please!! Some other interesting ones coming up too, i think mandatory rear parking radar sensors are about to be mandatory. (this one i can get behind, especially if it saves childs lives)
