Where are all the 458's for sale? For a model that is supposedly one of Ferrari's largest production runs models there are very few cars for sale.

There are only 15 sub 15,000 mile red 458's on Autotrader in the entire country. Narrow that to the more desirable 2012 - 2015 years and you have 9 in the entire country. That's pretty slim pickings.

I think it's pretty clear for owners (like myself) that in time the 458 will become a classic and worth quite a bit. There are not that many cars (none?) new that combine beauty, reliability, engine sound, power, usability and just plain mega fun. And certainly car manufacturers are never going to build cars like the 458 (or others like it too). Therefore, no one is selling and if they are, prices are way higher than 1-2 yrs ago.

Have you tried to find a truck to tow it with.........?
I believe it is not specific to the 458; try to find a similar vintage Fleming 55.
If you do you will certainly pay for it..............!

Agreed. However, the main reason 2012+ models were more desirable was the 7 year included maintenance, which many mistake for being a “warranty”. Those are mostly expired by now. All years 458s are susceptible to DCT sensor issues, which fortunately can be fixed rather than require full transmission replacement. There are no significant power or handling differences. So apart from age/MY, two 458s with identical miles and condition are equally good.

If Ferrari ends up having to go 100% electric by 2035…..458’s value will never go down again.

    Hello,

My 2015’s 7-yr Maintenance Plan is good through March of 2022. So, I have one more “free” maintenance left. My 2-Yr New Power Warranty is also up in March of 2022. I’m not sure if I will extend it or not…

As a side note, I know several blokes with 458’s and none of them have ever confused the 7-Year Maintenance Plan with the New Power Warranty, or the original New Car Warranty. I’m not sure how the two could be confused, apples and oranges as they say…

    Cheers!

Can I please have some of the crack that 458 owners are smoking? Just a little bit.

Kidding, I really do love the car but would only consider a speciale.

What can be found online and what is actually for sale, are two very different things. While a car may not be listed on AutoTrader, that's not the same as that's what's for sale. Some cars sit at dealers, but are not online, and a slew of other cars can be had as many owners are always interested. If you go and ask a dealer, a good authorized dealer with a proper portfolio, he knows exactly where to find cars and who' interested in selling.

I overheard a conversation a short while back while taking a stroll through my local dealers storage unit. A new client who was there asked if any of the cars were for sale. The response was simple. "Everything you is for sale, and so is everything you don't see.". Most of it is stuff belonging to clients, and a few are cars waiting to be delivered.

There's always some who are contemplating selling, and all the need is a buyer.

So what can be found online is just the tip of the iceberg.
