    Hi folks,

A 2015 Speciale recently followed me home, and I've been enjoying it immensely. I do have a question about the left hand screen on the dash, however, that I'm hoping someone can help me out with.

I like to have the oil and water temp screen up, but as soon as I shut the car down and start it back up, it defaults back to the speedometer. If I leave it on any other screen (or at least, the ones I've tried), it will stay there through a power cycle. Is there a software update or something I need to do to "pin" the oil/water temp screen there? I've tried a search and skimmed the manual, but haven't found anything.

    Thanks!

On my 458 Italia, I believe mine turns on with the speedometer on the left, but then flips over to the water/oil temp automatically (after starting the car I believe or within a few seconds). I do have the digital speedometer configured and have it configured to be on the right screen; so perhaps that has some impact on things.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to Ferrari chat!

I have played with the screens as little as possible as I am completely befuddled by them.
I do have one possibility and one suggestion however.
First the possibility: If you have the right screen set to anything but the speedometer i.e. navigation, then the speedo will revert to the left screen. I also know that you can program the speedo for either side. I unfortunately do not know how to do that. I am sure any of the techs at your dealership can tell you how that is performed.
The suggestion I have is to watch the 2 Youtube videos by Mike Mills of Ferrari of Atlanta showing you all the functions of the 458 computer controls. Yes, there have been some updates since this 2011 (?) video, but they still might prove useful to you.
Sorry I cannot answer your question better.
