After reading the articles and watching the videos in Evo, Autocar, and MotorTrend, pricing on the 458 is all over the board. Prices mentioned were $213K, $248K, $265K, and $314K. I wonder which one is more correct? I converted pounds into dollars.

A lot of those were European prices, weren't they? Those are typically cited with their VAT added, among other things.

    Doesn't mean much.
An S65 is over 200k Euro in Germany while only $200k in US.
In other words,we here are blessed with very low prices overall.

My guess would be $250k base price without any options because the SCUD's base price is ~ $287k that would be about 10% less than the SCUD.

But the base price of the Scud includes exterior and engine bay CF pkg, plus the CF steering wheel with rev indicators in its base. Either way my dealer had indicated that the base will be $220 - $240, with a well optioned car in the $300k range pretty much the same as most Scuds. Which makes sense given the pricing of the California, which is now the entry level car, you would expect at least a 15% premium (or 20%?) as they create a new price range in the line up.

    You are indeed.

Us Europeans can't help but feel a bit jealous when seeing the prices of cars on the other side of the pond...

In Italy it's 197,000 Euros (284K USD) including 20% VAT.

I am fearful that Ferrari will be increasing US prices due to the continuing slide of the USD.

Ferrari might decided to reduce the sales number for the US if the rest of the world demand can take up the slack, since the rest of the world pay more the cars.

On the other hand, if US demand improves and the rest of the world demand is weak, Ferrari might continue to price the US cars at a lower price point than the currency exchange.

FYI, no contest here, with HEFTY import tax like 300% for luxury automobile...Ferrari authorized dealer in Thailand was announcing the price of 458 Italia base car at thb26m (approx. US$800K). With some cool options, we might see US$850K probably.

This is a part of income distribution policy...Ouch!
