Has anyone heard when the first 458 will be delivered in the US? Has anyone placed a real order? What is the exact base price? Has it been announced? My dealer said $300K but I am hearing it will start in the $230K range. Can someone confirm this? Thx

I would bet Napolis gets the first 458 Italia on this side of the Atlantic, in his favourite shade of custom mix red. The only question is whether it will feature a black roof or not.

i was told May/June. $300k? seems like a lot and puts it at a decently optioned Scuderia.

anyone know what the outgoing F430's MSRP was at the conclusion?

Well it isn't a 250 LM but I am sure he could find some room. Have you seen the size of the new garage?

Yeah, I saw the pictures of the garage - impressive to say the least

Jim said if he was done with his 8C he would get a 458, so there's a chance... ;)

I hear from a fairly reliable source they are pushing to have the first US car for sale by June with a few demo's by late April or early May. However, knowing ferrari, I would be stunned if we see anything before September/October at the very earliest.

No pricing has been released. Most of us believe that out the door, you will need about 275 to 300 depending on taxes, licenses, and options.

My 08 F430 Spider came in just a hair under 290 for a nearly fully optioned car-- out the door.

So, when people talk about 300, I think that's for everything. Only time will tell. We should get pricing pretty soon.

i guess i am hoping it isn't $300k. there was some discrepancy in price between the Challenge Stradale and F430 and was hoping for the same here between the 430 Scuderia and the F458 Italia. i'm actually one of the few who is selling my Scud and looking to get a 458 but not if the price has escalated that highly as a base,

Well if the base on the 458 is 300k can you imagine where the Spider will go out the door at? I'm sure there is plenty of demand for the 458's and they could probably get away with a 250k to 275k base if they simply asked for it. Don't forget Carbon Brakes are standard so that alone jumps the base up from the 430.

CCB's have ben std since 08 and base was around 200k....
I am sticking with my original post of 220k +6k for CF upper, 6k for cf lower, 1800 for shields, 1200 for brake caliper colors, 6k total for seat options and 4k more for leather/alcantara.... No challenge grill untill 2012.... But heh, I could be wrong........

I hope you're right but the evidence is against you. There is no way the base price between a California and a 458 will be only 20 grand. And we've already heard that option prices are going up a lot. Some on the California are already crazy compared to an F430.

I think the will go out high and later make some stuff standard to help reduce the price without cutting the price.

Also, don't forget the mandatory extended warranty for the four year.

If I add up everything I listed + 6k for the 4th yr warranty the price after tax is 280K depending on the state which seems what we are all thinking.....
****, Maybe anothe 50k to the dealer is in order to ease the hit later....

I think your on the money, based what I heard from someone who was at the Dealers Meeting recently in Italy. First off the California was overpriced at $190K and the word is they are going to throw in some "options" adding about $10k without increasing the base price. The 458 supposedly will come in at a Base MSRP of $230K.

Base of 230 or 280 loaded is nice. I'd take two at that price! Heck I paid 350k (NJ sales tax included) for my F430 thanks to me timing the absolute perfect peak in the market before the economic downturn. 280k for me is a bargain :) Sign me up!
