The coupe is R. Corsa. Scuderia is brighter.

    Lol.

I have corsa but have to say that the next one if red will be scuderia. Like the brighter color.

My first 16M was scud red. In a line up of red Fiats, scud red looks way more exotic than corsa.

The RC is great under bright sunlight( deep blood red), but the RS is better in lower light/cloudy IMO. Difficult to photograph and get the color RS to be "preferable " to RC. i saw both colors inside a dealers garage and the slightly subdued light gave the RS the pop and the nod for me.

In 2003 Ferrari painted their Formula One cars Rosso Scuderia because it looks better on color TV. The guys at the factory called RS "TV red" :) I like it better than RC myself. Both of my Ferraris are RS.

Scud has more orange tones in it. Can't really tell
In photos but no question is more orange in person

Yes, it didn't look "right" in my opinion and I have stuck with Rosa Corsa since day 1.

As more TVs with Wide Color gamuts become the norm, maybe the Formula 1 team will switch to RC...

For any of you into minutiae about colors, you might find this interesting. I have a buddy who loves RS. He did his 360 CS and Speciale in RS. Upon seeing his RS Speciale he kept saying it was less orange than his CS. He liked it better, but that is irrelevant. A little research showed that the paint code had in fact changed. New RS has a different PPG paint code and by definition a different formula. This new formula tones down the orange aspect.
Next, onto the RC. I had the tiniest paint issue on the leading edge of my bumper. Drove me nuts. I had one of the premier touch up guys in my town repair it. When I told him my color, he said, "which RC?" Turns out there are more than one modern RCs. The difference is, the 458 one has a drop of yellow in the formula. The older one has none. That yellow "brightens" up the new RC.
The subtraction of some of the yellow tones (I do not know the new vs old RS formula) is what made the new RS a little "redder". The addition of the yellow, brightens the RC in the sunlight.
Ferrari has also changed Giallo over the years as well. The 50s/60s yellows vs 355 vs later cars all have a different paint codes.Yes, I know that have switched paint products, but the net is that the yellow formulas for color are different.

I am going to order again Rosso Scuderia as I really enjoyed the ownership experience with my 458. Great pictures comparing the two shades of Rosso. Both are winners.

This makes a lot of sense. I always thought R. Scuderia was too orange, but when he pulled in next to me, I thought our colors were the same. The owner had to point out to me that we had different colors before I could realize it. That spider was absolutely gorgeous and I would be very happy with R. Scuderia.

I can't put into words how classy I think Rosso Scuderia is. Even in photos. To the naked eye, it's still a Ferrari and it's still red, but there's that certain "je ne sais quoi" added in an understated fashion. It's not just another Ferrari in typical red. Difficult to associate the word "typical" to the color Rosso Scuderia, imho.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

Rosso Scuderia is great. When the paint samples are next to each other RS looks a little bit orange to me. A great friend of mine had both RC and RS at the same time and the orange never stood out to me on the car. It was spectacular.
