I took my 2013 458 Italia for a spin and ended up sitting in traffic for a while. I started noticing when the passenger radiator fan cycled on, it sounded horrible, like a bearing was going out or it had some debris in it. I have it on the lift now and accessed it by taking the fender liner out to take a look. Spinning it by hand I can definitely hear and feel it. It squeaks/grinds and catches in spots then gets hard to turn, so unfortunately not just debris.

My questions are: How do I access this fan further to replace? It’s fairly buried. Looks like the front bumper, maybe the trunk tub, and headlight could all have to come out? Any suggestions? Nothing online that I can find detailing an exploded view of how to unbury it! Thanks in advance!

Nevermind! I got it. Pulled the front bumper, trunk tub and was able to access and remove it

Link to video of how I got to it. No instructions or steps, just showing how to access.

Holy cow that was a lot of work! How many hours did it take, just to access it?
