This article has no content other than the usual speculation about model intervals and the like. Next we will be told that this photo shows that the "458 replacement" will have an adaptation of the FF 4WD system.

430 went 6 model years with Scud included in the last 2 years....04-09....my guess is the 458 will go longer especially with Spider demand still high....

Actually 430 went 5 model years, '05-'09, there is no '04 F430. The 360 went 6 model years, '99-'04. I also believe there were a few '05 360 Spiders made. I think the 458 will go 6 model years with the replacement coming out toward the end of next year. Whether turboed or not is anyone's guess.

360, 430 and 458 (and even 355 and 348 before that) were all officially introduced around september 1999-2004-2009 (1994 and 1989 for 355 and 348).
With the first spyshot of a mule, looks likely the 458 replacement will be officially announced within 6 months...on there website in the summer, and in "flesh" for the paris motor show in october 2014

To me it is unlikely that it is coming this year. The speciale is released less than a year ago. Also it wont match with Ferrari's "one car per year" release policy.

Probably it is coming september 2015, or maybe march 2015.

There is no "one car launch per year" policy. The LaFerrari and the Speciale were both revealed in 2013. I believe that we will see the new 458 in September this year.

no 2004 F430 in the US...so technically 5 model years in the US. There seem to always be "earlier" year cars in countries where they don't use the silly "model year". For example there were 2003 Stradale's in non-US markets. Happens virtually everytime. So, I guess it depends upon how you count it and where you count it to determine if its 5 or 6 or whatever.

Fwiw, I agree with you, I don't think we will see a model year registered "update/replacement 458" in the US until 2016 model year at the soonest. 458 spiders are still hard to get and the Speciale isn't even here yet (there is a rumor of 1 somewhere in the US I guess).

When the 458 update comes (here we go again with the whole "update" vs. "replacement" semantics), it comes. Finally, my two cents is that the car will be an "update" and thus utilize the same chassis with some exterior and interior changes and more power.

These "when is it coming", "I know", "I guess" threads are so boring (I'm even boring myself with these posts).

You know we are outta stuff to talk about when we are talking about when we might have something new to talk about!

The LaFerrari is considered as a "special series", not a regular production model. So yes, I think there is a one car a year strategy. Luca even said that in a interview sometime ago if I remember correctly.

With the new Mac 650 being faster than the 12c which was already faster than the 458, ferrari likely needs to bring a newer model online if they want to secure bragging rights once owned back in the 430 days.
F cars are still selling very well so perhaps they have given up caring about being the fastest and best on the track though. Porsche went for profits and that has worked.

Even if the car is released this year or next year, I DO NOT want one of the first ones. They are bound to have teething problems just like the 458. My dealer said after debut he would be able to get me one in around 1 year delivered. I'd rather wait another year and get one delivered so it'll be 2 years in its life cycle. But thats just me

I think it will appear at Geneva but deliveries to the states might be early 2016.

    Er, no!

The F355 and the F512M were both revealed in 1994. The 456 GTA and the 550 Maranello were both unveiled in 1996. Ferrari past models: more than 60 years of beautiful cars

The 360 Spider and the 550 Barchetta were both launched in 2000. The 612 and the F430 were both uncovered in 2004. Ferrari past models: more than 60 years of beautiful cars

I agree with TheMayor: Geneva 2015. Ferrari seems to have a thing for Geneva lately. And my "pure" guess is that it is going to be big update a la Cali T but not a completely new car... Whomever mentioned the 650S hit the nail on the head: the competitive landscape has changed...
