How many Speciale coupes do you think they'll sell? 3000?

 

In 2013 The US market represented 32% of Ferrari sales. Mattiacci said the US would get 350 cars in 2 years. Using this flawed thinking it would put the number around 1100. Yeah, that probably ain't right......

 

IMO The US will have tight allocation whereas the rest of the world will be an all you can eat buffet
For instant we hear some first time buyers getting early production allocation on Speciale and they always tend to be outside of the US

 

The look is excatly like speciale except hard top spider, as predicted by so many people. No surprises what so ever bcos nothing new. A lot Ferrari enthusiasm expects better then their prediction like something special looks or features.
Ooo well….. Ferrari…...

 

Limited to 458 examples. 458 Italia/Spider similar to Speciale/Speciale Spider. A few different cosmetic differences but they are significant.

 

Yes it would have been nice to see something more unique
Maybe Carbon top as standard equipment -wishful thinking

 

+458. Not to mention we always seem to see the latest and greatest new Ferrari spotted in Monaco first. Lots of affluent people to please there!

I believe there has been spy shots of 3 different SS's all which have NO stripes
Interesting as to what Ferrari's thought process would be ??

 

Would be interesting if Ferrari would offer a carbon fiber top option. Probably would add +$30k to the price but would make the SS stand out.

 

Indeed, that will likely be extremely pricey. Case in point: Ferrari does offer a carbon fiber engine compartment lid (part number 70002667) and a carbon fiber front lid/hood (US part number 70002665). These are available as "accessories" that can be installed after the fact. The retail pricing on these is, well, spectacular:

* Ferrari Parts : 70002665 458 CARBON FIBER BONNET -GLOSSY- : Ricambi America

* Ferrari Parts : 70002667 458 CARBON FIBER ENGINE HOOD GLOSSY : Ricambi America

Perhaps a saving grace is that the engine compartment lid comes with a Lexan screen instead of glass, although that screen is no longer heated

 

458 Speciale Spiders are being produced right now.

 

That could also be sign for the 458T to arrive sooner than we thought

 

March 2015 unveiling.

 

Production and availability in showroom maybe soon after

 

Most likely some deliveries to prominent clients in Monaco probably by late summer.

 

Model code is 142VS might be a connection to the final name, we know it's not Speciale Spider
