I will get to drive the 458 ( which I own) and the F12 back to back on COTA in Dec. The 599 was a great car but I liked my F430 and now my 458 better. We will see how the F12 hits me. I also own a 991c2s. I agree with MT it's a great car.
That may be true, but not sure what one of the editors (Carlos Lago, Assistant Road Test Editor) meant when he stated, “As for the Ferrari, well, I love the powertrain, remarkable reflexes, and that otherworldly exhaust note as much as the rest of the team, but was put off by the lack of grip and balance. In my mind the 458 Italia is the one to have, but please don’t ask me to rank that against this group.”
drove my f12 all weekend so far....didnt miss my 458 in the least. remember ferrari v8's are for beginners, v12's are for adults hopefully the Speciale is just that, Special, because otherwise McLaren will remain king of the sports car segment
Clearly had some time off between school sessions... and then Mommy and Daddy said "no more internet time until your grades improve"
^I do not get the last comment. I would go for which car you want. YOu want the 458s, you will make it work. For me I did not want the 458s because I wanted a stereo, leather etc. So i did not want a race car only, so i decided on the 458. I think the 458s is an awesome car but when the ferrari is my only sports car, I want a car I can chill and listen to tunes or turn off the radio and rev that beautiful v8.
Ouch! But I want the V12 behind my head.........oh wait they do make that............umm just checked I can't afford it and I am not on the list I could just drive a F12 in reverse only so the engine is in the back
Ferrari would put in anything you want in the 458s, stereo, leather, kitchen sink..........they are all available options, you just have to ask and pay.
Or swap in an extra V12 in the rear cargo area of the F12, factory V24 with 1480 NA HP and 4WD...........woo hoo!! That could be the ultimate flat plane NA Ferrari V12 scream!!
Eric Clapton asked to have that in his SP12 EC, they declined to make it, probably told him is easier, cheaper and quicker to just ship him a LaF.
Is easy to smoke a Veyron, any rice boy in a properly modded GTR can do it. The hard part is doing it with the flat plane NA V12 scream.
There are many videos online. Here is one. It is just power, power is cheap. Nissan GT-R smokes Bugatti Veyron.mp4 - YouTube
