Does the new 458 Speciale come with the same warranty and 7-year maintenance program as the other new Ferrari's? Could not find this info in any printed literature. The 7- year maintenance plan adds a lot of value to the original and subsequent owners.
    Thanks in advance.

Honestly, it only saves you about $1100 a year on a car costing $300 grand. Sounds good though! Better than nothing. :)

Still waiting for that (Hyndai) "100,000 mile/10 year warranty". We would see (frequently driven) Ferrari's as often as Prius's. Best

The other way to look at it is it will firm up your resale value when it comes time to sell or trade-up compared to the 2010-11 models

The warranty was the last push I needed to purchase a 2012 458 over an older model.

Funny how little stuff like that gets us excited....I love it when people ask how much does it cost for service and I can say it's free!

Yes. When people ask about expensive service costs, the look on their face when they are told the car comes with 7 years free maintenance is PRICELESS! ;)

In no way meaning disrespect, just curiiosity. The total saved is 7 x $1,100 ($7,700). I suspect you spent close to $300,000 for the car. We are all influenced and affected by different things, but in the context of the outlay, this interests me. Maybe rehetorical since it seems almost rude to ask you why? So leaving me to my imgaination is fine with me. When buying a car for one of our kids, the multi year "bumper to bumper" warranty afforded me and them peace of mind, since they would own the car for many years to come, much longer than I keep a car,,I guess the boys/girls are Ferrari understandi marketing allot better than I do. Incidentally, I also own a 2012 458.Best

Why turn a nose up at a 2.5% savings. If they offered the 300.000 car at 292.000 I'm sure people would be happy too.

Not turning my nose. Just telling the real figures instead of the myth.

I never see a problem in letting people know the truth.

Agreed. I've had that conversation with many looking at my car when we're out driving.

    Correct.
3 yr warranty was established earlier, couple of years ago.

For me it was a sweetener and I suspect whomever I sell it to in a year or two will see it the same. I have to imagine the perceived value of the service plan expands the potential buyer pool.

I agree, maybe on a V12 (based on my experience) those numbers are conservative, but the point remains. I think a big change will happen when the warranty matches the 7 years, then the cars will get used. It costs for the top warranty £5k GBP in uk on a V12 (to add a 5th year and cover as new) then you can only get cover for main components for years 6 and 7 , at a cost of £3k GBP per year ( i think ). So retail cost £11k GBP to give 7 years. Come on Ferrari you can do it.
