Sorry if this has already been discussed. After seeing a 458 spider in yellow i noticed that the engine cover lid with the rectangular vent holes and the sides behind the back window look like they have been a bit inspired by the Dino design, don't you think?

Not on this forum, I don't think. I had not seen this car, and was not aware the obviously Dino "inspired" details.

Interesting to see - and disappointing at the same time. I think the overall design is, well, unfortunate.

I'm not a particularly strong fan of the 458, coupe or spider, but I think that the Fly Yellow 458 Spider pictured above is uncommonly homely. I don't care for the roof design of the berlinetta, and think that the GTS-style of the 458 Spider is an improvement, but the color in the above photo doesn't show the design to its best advantage. That being said, the new Spider will obviously be a best seller, wearing as it does the cavallino rampante. Fred
