If you could picture it in your head, what would you think about speccing a 458 Spider with Nero Daytona over Rosso Corsa? Inspired by say, a black widow? I think it would look good, but just wanted to hear other people's opinion anyway. Also any pics of any 458 with the spec mentioned above? Having problems of finding some examples on the internet. Any feedback is appreciated!

skip the nero daytona... go with nero.

To pull of the red, you just need the plain deep black of the non daytona.

Black over red is the BEST combo IMHO...

but with metallic in it, the combo loses its panache... personally. Becomes a bit to glitzy

    That would look awesome!

I love red guts, depending on the exterior. I love white over red the most. Argento Nurburgring over red would be a nice combination too!

Absolutely correct. I went down this route and came to the same conclusion.

Argento/Red is what I've been toying with in my head the last few weeks. I've only had black interiors but this is stuck in my head. Not sure if I'd start to hate it after a while, but it sure it nice to look at.

Looks great...but I too would worry about getting tired of it. Might help if it were toned down a notch with black dash/wheel and maybe black leather on the interior windshield surround (though I'm usually a fan of that part being in color).

ya i think a black dash with red everything else would look best. I think a black dash is always the way to go, then it can add a little contrast with the interior color you decide. Especially for those picking red. Its a fine line between "that looks awsome" and "He over did it with the red"

Gorgeous! Black over Red it´s a classic-classic-classic roadster combination. It reminds me of old Jags, Shelbys, Astons and Morgans. Go for it. Cheers!

Also to break up the red a bit I would do black alcantara seat inserts. Too much red may make the car a bit over the top IMO.

I need a lesson in terminology. At first, I thought we were talking about a two tone exterior. There is no leather that is Nero Daytona or Rossa Corsa. Then we switched to exterior and interior.

When someone says x color over y color, are we talking ext over int, or ext roof over ext body color?

I got the impression that the OP meant ext. roof over body color.
X over Y usually means ext. over int. color to me..

I think your right...I just read his post again. We are talking roof over body color. In this case I think the darker the black on top the better. Go with the Nero.

Agree with several of the posts ... you need some sort of contrasting color inside the accentuate the red ... too much of which is a bad thing IMHO. The nero dash, perhaps nero carpets would be great. You may also want to consider bordeaux in place of the rosso ... someone more subdued but still a great contrast, particularly to argento nurburgring or bianco. The ability to tailor your choices is what makes the cars so unique ... doesn't seem as if any two are the same.

I have owned a black over red car. Loved it. Like my Nero over tan better but black over red is good.

In my opinion which counts for absolutely nothing skip the alcantara interior. Once this fad fades... It will really really date the car plus black suede in a convertible fades due to the dyes. Leather interiors will never go out of vogue. BUT get what makes you happy it's your 350k!

I saw a 430 spider, black with red interior, daytona stripes in black and it was quite striking. As I have spider coming in red, take my opinion for what it is worth (probably nothing!!). Seriously, go with nero or nero stellato (28k!! option) to get depth of black you need to pull it off. Then I would go with the red race seats with white or off white stitching. Black carpets and your choice of underdash in red or black. If you watch any F1, the Ferrari drivers in garage are always sitting in this red with white stitched seat.I think it looks great. The contrast stitching seems to accent and also break up "just" red/black look. Or any 2 color car. I think 3 total colors optimal. More are too busy and 2 gets a little old. I got tired of my 2 "just" yellow black cars. Love my red w/tan/black interior with red stitching car. IMO. Lastly, I did carbon race package. With red interior and especially black exterior, the carbon fiber looks better than the standard gray metal on dash. It will also cut some of the red leather areas down (seat backs). Obviously I just spent a lot of your money! So very sorry!! Best
