    Can you explain the sensors ? Photo #3 is the "eye", photo #1 also ?

    Which bands ? How far away of any used radar will it alarm you ?

    Hi Melvok -
    Yes...both images 1 and 3 are the eye. Image 1 is the eye on the rear of the vehicle and Image 3 is on the front. These are for the Laser Jamming system...they are directional and required in both the front and the back. The pictures are the custom enclosures for the eyes. These are custom build to match the shape and location on the vehicle...some truly great design work.

    There are also matching radar sensors...though they are hidden and don't need to be direclty visible.

    The Bil STiR Plus is the base radar detector. Designed for customer installs. The specs can be seen here:

    BTW...Bil system is exactly the same as the Escort Passport system...turns out they are both owned by the same Private Equity company and have consolidated on the same hardware but with different brands. And Bil is much cheaper.

    In this case, i've used the AL Laser Jammer system in conjunction. This is certainly the best on the market today. Info on these can be found below:

    I've had this system installed on 3 different vehicles over the past 6 years...911 c4s, M6 GC, and now the 458. And I've never had a single ticket during this time. And believe me, I REALLY deserved to get one several times...and a few times, it probably would have cost me my license for a period of time or insurance. Definitely a believer in the system.

    Seems like a quality product, installed by a very professional crew in a very discreet place in the cockpit. I suspect it'll save you some headaches!

    In my country, if very visible, the police can aprehend your car if they suspect any laser jammers/detectors.

    Shanew, Nice install! I have the same set up but I've never seen the ALP heads like that. My install was done in 2014. Are those a new designed head?

    The heads are custom molded by the installer to fit the shape of the front and back end of the 458. the face of the production heads are removed and fit into the new molds. Picture attached of the molds. On the front of the vehicle, the molds are swept back about 30 degrees to assist with airflow. Really a tremendous way to do the mount.
