The 360 ok but why is there not room for the front number plate ? q for you as a designer. In the 60's etc... it would have a stick on plate ex : e type jaguar. Is this not a problem for airflow ? " & fixation" ! . Not to mention the lines of the car ! ?
I attended the Factory tour today and saw completed Corsa/Beige (top up) and Silverstone/Beige (top down) spyders. They looked stunning. Of course, I couldn't take pictures. When walking home from dinner tonite, I noticed a Corsa spyder parked next to the Reception office at the old gate. I reached over the fence to take several pics. I think my flash startled the security officer at the desk. Apologies for the poor point-shoot pic quality, but I hope you enjoy. I want one very much! Okay, my question for those who know... Does the Spider have the bicolor roof option? As the 458 Italia can be optioned with a black roof... If so, any pictures of it yet? I would loved to see a white Spider with a black roof.
Love your night shoots! Guys, is there any Spider driving around Maranello or Fiorano? I'm planning a trip to Maranello next week.
You would probably know better than us Marco! We usually find out about the new models through your youtube channel
The 458 can be ordered with any colour roof, not just black. I have had a close look at the spider at the production line, trying to imagine how a two-tone would work, but it doesn't. Because of the irregular shape of the cover lid, which extends beyond the two buttresses, it would look horrible to try and emulate the Berlinetta's two-tone look. The only option would be to only have the actual roof painted, but nothing leading up to it. This would create a Targa look like the old 911s or 328GTS, which is not that nice IMHO. Talking to the Atelier guy, Ferrari were apparently not planning to offer two-tone on the spider as they see the same issue with that as I do. But perhaps they will find a good-looking solution. Onno
Thank you. I did see a couple spiders driving past the Galleria the next morning. As I am a simple tourist and not a skilled spotter, I wasn't prepared to take pictures!
A friend of mine working for Ferrari told me that the 458 Spiders are driving around town.. Wednesday i'll be there
YEAH! What an incredible day! 31 degrees the 12th October, can you believe that?? So many cars and people today in Maranello! There was also a german Ferrari club with several 458s, FF, 612, Scuds. I've seen a few 458 Spiders (if you're wondering... yes i have a video!), white pearl, yellow pearl, grey, black, matte black. Matte black looked so evil! Now you can see more FFs than any other Ferrari in town, they're everywhere. I have spotted also Harry Metcalfes with his 550 Barchetta I've seen also a TURQUOISE FF on a truck. The car was still on construction, i guess that's gonna be Al-Thani's brand new FF.
I need some time to edit all the videos, tomorrow i will upload a video about the new Lancia Stratos, saturday the 458 Spiders and Monday i think the whole spotting video of today!
